Bow thruster on container vessels usually have one or more tunnels built into the bow, below the waterline. An impeller in the tunnel can create thrust in either direction which makes the ship turn.
Bow thruster is that the ship is sailing in a narrow channel, port of call or sailing turn, instead the traditional rudder equipment difficult to operate or can’t operate, also used for ship operates in harsh environments. Such as: Water demining,laying marine cable.
It widely used on passenger ships,cargo liners,container ships,pleasarch ships,tankers,bulk carriers etc vessels,help get better operation.
